Rutgers University officials have launched an investigation into a string of recent "racist and bigoted Zoom-bombings" that have marred student online events with most of the attacks targeting Black History Month programs, according to the school's chancellor.Ĭhancellor Christopher Molloy wrote in a statement sent to students and staff on Friday that the most recent "Zoom bombings" have occurred during online events hosted by the university's Paul Robeson Culture Center and the Center for Social Justice Education & LGBTQ Communities.

Is there anything I need to do after the migration?Īfter the migration on December 18, your login information and user experience will look the same, but any previously scheduled Zoom meeting and personal room links will no longer work, so you will need to reschedule those meetings in your new account.Īll of your current stored Zoom settings, personal meeting IDs and recordings will move to your new Rutgers Zoom account. This change allows users to have a fully functional Zoom experience with access to ALL available features, while still being completely HIPAA compliant. Additionally, if you are a user that needs to frequently schedule meetings on behalf of others, you will be able to do so seamlessly.įollowing the December 18 migration, all Rutgers faculty, staff, and students who sign up for Zoom, will be given Rutgers Zoom accounts that are HIPAA-compliant, regardless of their PHI status. Your new Rutgers Zoom account will be fully HIPAA compliant.
On the evening of Friday, December 18, all users that currently have a Zoom HIPAA account () will be moved to a standard Rutgers Zoom account (). Please note that this affects a small subset of NB-ITS Rutgers Zoom Users who are currently members of the Rutgers Zoom HIPAA tenant.
